Emily grew up in Pleasanton, California. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, she attended cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell The School East Bay.

She received her cosmetology license in 2012 and immediately entered into an assistant program where she quickly picked up the straight edge razor and her love of haircutting began. During cosmetology school, Emily only wanted to color hair, cutting did not feel natural or comfortable. Once she had a razor in her hand it all changed, shapes made sense and creating soft, organic haircuts became a passion. Over the past several years she has traveled the country to continue her education in straight edge razor cuts, scissor cuts, and specialty color classes. She has trained under Nick Arrojo, Howard McLaren, Coby Won, Jayne Edo, Corrina Hernandez, Ashlee Norman, Nine Zero One Academy, and Redken. 

She has over 12 amazing years behind the chair and is excited to now be serving clients in Boise, Idaho.
